The Aerospace Technology group works on the development of satellite-based space missions and stratospheric platforms. Aerial vehicles are studied and their aerodynamics and propulsion investigated. In addition, the applications developed support the detection of forest fires and the monitoring of critical infrastructures.
The group has organized a series of activities in order to bring research and teaching in aerospace technology that takes place at the University of León to society. These activities, with an excellent acceptance, have included the holding of conferences and the realization of demonstrations with real aerospace material that visitors have been allowed to use.
