The Aerospace Engineering Area of the University of León has participated in the Fifth edition of the UNVEX Security & Defense 2018 International Congress on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), held at the Palacio de Congresos in the city of León between days 29 and 31 May 2018
In this edition, different leading national and international players participated in the sector such as Indra, Thales, Airbus, General Atomics Aeronautical, Sener or Aeronautics Group. It is also worth mentioning the support and collaboration received from local, regional and national institutions and public bodies.
In this framework, the Aerospace Engineering Area of the University of León has had the opportunity to present the works and research carried out regarding unmanned aerial vehicles through various conferences and exhibitions. The contributions linked to the stratospheric observation platforms (HAPS) were thus made evident, as well as the services offered in propulsion and aeronautical meteorology matters for the optimization of trajectories of UAVs.
