The Aerospace Engineering Department of the University of León participated in the fifth edition of the UNVEX Security & Defense 2018 International Congress on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), held at the Palacio de Congresos in the city of León from May 29 to 31, 2018.

This edition featured participation from leading national and international players in the sector, such as Indra, Thales, Airbus, General Atomics Aeronautical, Sener, and Aeronautics Group. The support and collaboration received from local, regional, and national public institutions and organizations were also noteworthy.

Within this framework, the Aerospace Engineering Department of the University of León had the opportunity to present its work and research related to unmanned aerial vehicles through various conferences and exhibitions. The department showcased its contributions related to high-altitude platform systems (HAPS), as well as the services offered in aeronautical propulsion and meteorology for the optimization of UAV flight paths.
